    Found it!

    Welcome to the forum @Howols!
  2. It looks like the axle is still good ehh? It looks like new bearings and seals may make it new again?
  3. I noticed while browsing Hot Rods web site a few days ago that Pivot Works is listed as being one of their companies now. So Hot Rods is probably owned by a venture capital firm now too. We all screwed up many years ago on that day that we each bought our first china knockoff.
  4. Tapatalk was gonna put ads up in front of users too. They insisted that we pay them to remove the ads. Thing is, they wanted $10 for one part, $5 for another, $10 for another, $5 again for something else... the monthly costs kept rising as I ticked off their intrusions. Mind you, its not the money and never was... if they were providing something of value in return for $35 a month...? But they do not and cannot increase value on an already mobiles-optimized Responsive design. In spite of all that I almost pulled the trigger anyway. But there was no way to prevent them from downloading and storing all of our members private personal data onto their servers. They were taking everything from us, the AdminCP, the ModCP, every members PMs would be included, even members that do not use Tapatalk would have been victimized. That was the last straw. I deleted the account.
  5. Boiling the wheel cylinders in water before pumping the pistons out helps too.
  6. As mentioned Tapatalk is not ever gonna be an option for us. Its just way too intrusive and disrespectful of members private data bits. Its disgusting actually.... its buggy crap software that only partially works. It would make extra work for us working around their bugs to keep the site running. And we have no control of any part of it once it is installed. We are spending extra money on providing a high perf optimized, bug-free and reliable stack. We don't host any parasites. Their software would destroy those efforts. I'm doing my best not to cuss about Tapatalk. Bottom line, NOPE! Not ever! As some of you have noticed our software is a 100% Responsive design. It serves mobile devices better than any other package without omitting useful features. And it does all of that well without sacrificing too much speed. The days of clunky mobile non-compliant software are behind us. Softwares like Tapatalk are simply not necessary and certainly not useful anymore. We have moved past those dark days. Apple mobile products have been the reason why we continue to suffer from a lack of push notifications. They STILL refuse to support push in their devices after many years of push capabilities being standard tech on other devices. The industry is just now, FINALLY telling Apple to shove it and we are beginning to move forward without them. So... the next version of this software (4.5) will feature both Android AND Apple Native Apps that provide push notifications for everyone. Apple cannot block that app. They have been kicked to the curb. We're all sick and tired of their control freak personality, their antique browsers and their knuckle-dragging. They'll either run to catch up with modern tech now, or they will be left behind. I am celebrating! The version 4.5 software update release date has not been published yet. But Invision have begun to publish "have you seen" teaser articles about the new features that will be standard in this next major version. So we can probably expect a release within a couple months, maybe less. Here are a few of their v4.5 teasers: https://invisioncommunity.com/news/product-updates/invision-community-apps-for-ios-android-r1161 https://invisioncommunity.com/news/product-updates/45-your-new-admin-control-panel-r1169 https://invisioncommunity.com/news/product-updates/45-club-pages-r1170 https://invisioncommunity.com/news/product-updates/45-rss-feed-improvements-r1171 I am looking forward to this next release because the current version is holding us up on improving the speeds of our backoffice stack. Invision 4.4.x is not compatible with Elastic Search 7.x and PHP-FPM 7.4 while 4.5 is... so we're gonna gain another 2-3% speed increase once the new platform is optimized. Soon after that we will be upgrading to a Centos 8.x (from 7.7) based stack which will provide us with an even faster platform. We gotta be patient.

    Vacations...

I've been on vacation since I left the corporate employment world, approaching 20 years now. I travel a couple times every year to spend time with family and old friends, so those trips might be considered vacations to some...? Those trips are OK for about 10 days each then I get restless. I am happiest here in the woods where I chose to retire... fishing, hunting, exploring or tinkerin' with hobbies... its all the same to me. Travel was fun and interesting while I was young. But not anymore... travel nowadays means I gotta drop what I want to be doing to go do something else.
  8. Sounds like a winner to me. Who cares what it looks like as long as it works?
  9. +1 on Professional grade saws! They are worth every penny extra ya gotta pay. Pro grade have magnesium motor cases so they're lighter and stronger than consumer or farm grade saws too.
  10. Welcome balljoints, great to see ya again! Stickie away bro..! 🙂
  11. Ya, fill it up with content. It takes a long time to develop a new forum. Most take about a year of steady growth to reach the top. We're off to a great start!
  12. Start a thread when ya get ready to work on your 350 so we can follow along. 🙂
  13. Changing the cam chain isn't very hard, just need a good set of tools, new chain and gaslets. The rocker cover, upper cam sprocket, right side cover and clutches (oil pump too if I remember right) gotta be taken off. Its pretty routine... the service manual covers everything well.

    Weather

Was a nice, calm, bright sunny day today. We have two feet of snow down so far with some minor drifting in my yard. I have been packing the snow down after each storm with the snowmobile, so I'm still riding the Rancher this week. Probably have to wash it and put it up 'til spring before the next storm arrives though.
  15. We could host those service manuals ourselves too. Be faster loading them and easier to manage them if they were onsite. But google drive works good too. Maybe better to leave well enough alone ehh?
  16. Welcome to the forum!
  17. I submitted the site in Bing webmaster tools today as well. Also waiting on Yandex to crawl the site after submission in their webmaster tools earlier today. Once those two have crawled the site and return results, then duck duck go and yahoo search should soon follow. We got a LOT of work to do to make our way to numero uno.
  18. I just searched again (atvhonda.com) and it worked the same as in the screenshot above. ATV Honda doesn't put us on the board yet though.
  19. Got some google pagespeed results today. We're pretty fast considering that this is our initial setup and our very first tests. We score 97 on Desktop views our first attempt, which is most excellent! I'd be tickled achieving that score with any web site! But I know that there are still improvements to be found here. Ironically, google fonts shows up at the top of the list of slow loading resources.... which should be easy to fix... Lets see if we can hit 99, or a perfect 100, ehh? Next up was the pagespeed mobile test. We scored only 78 on that one. Lots of room for improvement there... it is very difficult to score in the 90s for mobiles, but we'll give it a shot. Again it was slow loading google fonts (1.288 ms) that hurt our mobile score the most. I am certain that we can fix that. On a related note, google has indexed our site and have updated their search results today. They even have our ATV Honda description listed below our link. So we can begin our work on SEO now. 🙂
  20. I haven't been in contact with Moose or Bryan since I have been expecting to see them both arrive here. We have their Google drive sharing link but they did all of the work... I am reluctant to post the link without their approval. Was hoping one of them would arrive and post it.
  21. Yup, I caused that discrepancy when I removed one of those blocks to replace with another then put it back. I'll fix that right now. Thanks!
